Teaching & Workshops

My workshops are under way for the first half of 2010. Keep checking this page for updates.
All courses are full-day photography training workshops for a maximum of six people and are designed to help you get the best out of your camera, learn new techniques and come away with some great images at the end of an inspiring and highly practical day.
All workshops take place on Sundays. Dates and topics are as follows:
Feb 7th : Studio Day - close-ups and still life
Feb 28th : Studio Day - studio portraiture
Mar 14th & Mar 28th : Composition in the City (Gloucester & Worcester)
May 9th : Bluebells!
June 20th : Using Flash (indoor & outdoor)
Outdoor workshops are restricted to six delegates in order to make sure everyone gets individual attention.

Bluebells Spring Workshop - 9th May
This course is for SLR users who want to get outside and learn about getting lovely pictures of Bluebells and other Spring flowers. We meet at a great location and spend the day getting the most out of our cameras in a gorgeous and colourful outdoor setting.
Using Flash on Location - provisional date 20th June
This course is for SLR users who want to master flash photography and to develop their picture taking skills with people. You will learn how to use light and locations effectively to take great portraits. You will get the opportunity to practice the techniques taught in a practical indoor/outdoor setting with a model.
Studio Portraiture - call for dates
In this workshop you will learn lighting and posing techniques in a studio setting. You will learn about the different equipment you can use in the studio and will get the chance to take great portraits with a model.
